Archaeological Site at Baboon Point, Elandsbaai, West Coast, Western Cape.

A Standloper cave at Baboon Point on the West Coast was first occupied 120,000 years ago. Then the sea level dropped and 15000 years ago, it was not even a gleam on the horizon.  Now it is about 80-m below the cave. Rock paintings and prehistoric refuse on the floor tell archaeologists about the lives of the people who lived here.
